– between 50 and 100 praticipants will be able to physically attend the courses at the Clinique Générale d’Annecy.
– The courses will also be available online for all healthcare professionals who do not wish to travel

The SECEC Qualification-Committee reviewed ASI (Alps Surgery Institute) application in collaboration with the French National Delegate and has approved our shoulder surgery institute for 5 years.
Fellowships at the Institute have been completed by surgeons from all over the world. The Institute is able to accommodate three types of fellow into its work and educational framework:
– 3 months observership /fellowship,
– 6 months fellowship to take a more active part
– 12 months fellowship to follow up to 500 surgeries

Since the 2018, all courses organized by Alps Surgery Institute will be fully accessible online only for the praticipants.
Our objective is to simplify and modernize the access to the shoulder surgery knowledge by enabling an online unlimited videos replay.

To date the Institute has fulfilled its aims by combining the unit’s extensive clinical database with current scientific evidence through clinical analysis. In addition, the team retains close links with other world leaders in orthopaedic surgery with the aim of sharing ideas and treatment philosophies.
Laurent Lafosse is the Chairman of the Alps Surgery Institute. He is a pioneer of modern shoulder surgery and has had numerous scientific papers published in international peer reviewed journals. He has delivered several keynote lectures at international conferences and is regarded as one of today’s world leaders in arthroscopic shoulder reconstruction. In addition, Dr Lafosse has been recognised worldwide for his innovations in shoulder surgery, including the Lasso loop stitch, Arthroscopic suprascapular nerve release, Arthroscopic Latarjet procedure and the Lafosse suture knot.

2018 was the first year we experience the use of an online video platform for displaying our shoulder surgery course.
